Mr. Chris Runge, Director Cable 2 Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools:

Miriam Hernandez has been instrumental in connecting our school system to the Hispanic Community in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. Through our educational television station, Cable 2, Miriam brings a monthly 30 minute program about today's current events and concerns to an entire population that may not hear the news anywhere else. La Voz De La Escuela (The Voice of our Schools) is a 30 minute public affairs show dedicated to the most relevant and current events affecting our community. Miriam delivers those messages to our Hispanic viewers and does so with grace and ease.

Mr. Scott Carpenter, Capture Public Relations & Marketing

We have been working with Miriam Hernandez [Hispanic Interaction] for several years. Our experience has been extremely positive. Miriam is a consummate professional, her translations are accurate and she is able to turn them around in a timely fashion.

Mr. Niel Holladay, Human Resources Vice President, The Budd Group

Miriam is a true expert in the field of Cross-Cultural relations. She is an excellent public speaker and facilitator and her knowledge of Latino Cultural Relations is considerable. And as a translator she is very dependable and thorough and has an exceptional ability to "trans-create" ideas and concepts from English into Spanish (and vice versa).

Mr. Greg Jamback, Owner Swift Water Media

Miriam has been a dynamic force in Winston-Salem and in the State of North Carolina. She is a visionary, inspirational, and despite any obstacles put in her way, she gets things done. I enjoyed working with her in the past and look forward to working together again in the future.”

Dr. Donald Martin, Superintendent, Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools

Hispanic Interaction and her owner Miriam Hernandez have worked with the school system for over 5 years.  First as a volunteer as an interpreter, translator and member of committees that work with our children's education.  During 2004 she worked as a Cultural Awareness instructor for our school systems educators and administrators.  She has been instrumental in preparing an educational television show through our Education station Cable 2.  She brings a 30 minute show that brings very important information for our community.  Her work has been admirable, we are lucky to have her.

D. Ritchie Brooks, City of Winston-Salem Neighborhood Services Department-Miriam Hernandez, owner of Hispanic Interaction has been a tremendous asset to the City of Winston-Salem Neighborhood Services Department in its outreach efforts in the Hispanic community.  Over the past five-year period, Miriam has conducted neighborhood surveys, held seminars at churches and apartment complexes and hosts a television program "Tu Communidad" which is aired quarterly to educate the Hispanic community on city ordinances and services. Additionally, she distributes a quarterly newsletter with similar information.  Miriam has provided translation services for departmental brochures and assisted with communication barriers on several site visits in the community. In doing so, she established an instant bond of trust with the residents.  Her energy, vision, passion and self motivation is an inspiration to us all. We are very pleased with the work Hispanic Interaction performs for the city, and look forward to a continued positive relationship.
